 Imidazolidinyl urea- An antimicrobial preservative used in cosmetics. Imidazolidinyl urea acts as a formaldehyde releaser. Some people that come in contact with this chemical can develop a “contact allergy” resulting in dermatitis.  

Formaldehyde- YES I said formaldehyde, is used in embalming and is known to cause breathing difficulties, burning eyes and throat, headaches, and is swarn to be carcinogenic.

Emulsifying wax- A vegetable based wax that aids in a smooth lotion

 Vegetable Glycerin- Vegtable Glycerin is composed of The fats and oils of a raw ingredients (usually palm or coconut oils) that go thought the process of isolation. Vegetable glycerin provides emollient like properties which can soften and soothe the skin and it assists the outer epidermis is retaining moisture.

Palm Stearic Acid- Stearic Acid occurs naturally in vegetable and animal fats, but has to go through a Hydrogenation process to convert it to Palm Stearic Acid . Palm Stearic Acid is used to emulsify, thicken, bind, and stabilize our lotions . ( we use the kind converted from vegtables)

Potassium Sorbate- Potassium Sorbate is a mild preservative. Potassium Sorbate is used to inhibit the development of microorganisms (molds and yeast) for shelf stability

Shea Butter- Shea butter is known especially for its cosmetic properties as a moisturizer and emollient. It is also a known anti-inflammatory agent. Shea butter can be effective at treating the following conditions: fading scars, eczema, burns, rashes, severely dry skin, and in lessening the irritation of psoriasis. Shea butter provides natural UV sun protection. Shea butter is safe to use on babies, children and adults. Shea butter helps prevent and soothe sunburns. Shea butter is high in vitamins A and E. Shea butter helps moisturize dry skin. Shea butter helps restore elasticity of aging skin.
